Hi my name is Les McIntosh I am the founder of Active Plumbing Service Pty Ltd alsoknown as Active Plumbing. It was about 1978 that I became a Licensed plumber I completed my apprenticeship Starting off as a builders labourer I eventually managed to get started as a first year apprentice working for the union steam ship company. I moved on from there to work for a construction plumbing company and then to two smaller firms and finished my time with The Public works Department all of this gave me a very good grounding of plumbing particularly the public works department working on government buildings in Sydney we were taught by craftsmen how to do intricate pipe work the old ways and the correct ways no short cuts all of this gave me a good grounding in plumbing and in 1980 after working for myself for a few years I Started Active Plumbing Service Pty Ltd now after 35 years in the industry. We have a team of highly trained licensed plumbers located throughout Sydney and the Blue Mountains.

We specialise in plumbing repairs. Over the years Active plumbing has worked mainly in the area of plumbing repairs and Maintenance. When all you do is plumbing repairs for 26 years you tend to get very very good at it.

We are a small family Business my wife Debbie and I work in the business we make sure you are absolutely satisfied with our work and that its value for money.

We found over the years that the most important thing was punctuality, cortically its important to do a good job, and its important to clean up your mess and it's important to be friendly and caring and to be clean and tidy be dressed in a uniform. But it's most important not to waste people's time we realise that your time is valuable.

From the moment you place your call with us to the time of completion of the work you and your premises will be treated with consideration and respect by me, my wife Debbie or one of our highly trained Team.

It was by chance that we came across Active Plumbing, being the first one in the phone book that answered our call straight away and was able to give a price to put a tap in our backyard. This was the first time we met Les, he was professional by trade and by nature, ensuring a post was placed in the ground to support the tap and cleaned up after himself. He gave plenty of advice and options to ensure the job suited our needs and our budget.

Since that time in October of 2003 we have had Active Plumbing around for a couple of repairs to our old Hot water system and again the same level of professionalism had not washed out [pun intended] with time. This prompted me to put Active Plumbing up to a challenge, installing an automatic water changer for my 600 Litre fresh water tropical fish tank, He came up with a solution that no longer requires me to manually change the water in the tank and I can control the flow of water through the system. It only uses gravity and no electricity, handy when we have those power failures from time to time.

I will be using Active Plumbing for all our needs in the future and would highly recommend them to anyone.
